Travel Insurance for Hospitality Work
As you travel around, chances are you'll spend a lot of time staying in backpacker's hostels and
spending a nice chunk of your money at the local backpacker pubs. This means that you'll need to find work and
the most obvious place to look is at those very same hostels and bars that have been so kindly taking your money.
Finding a job in a hostel is easy, but finding paid work requires a bit more presistence. Hostels are happy to hire
travellers to clean or change beds for a few hours a day in exchange for a night's accommodation but to land a job in
reception (these usually tend to be paid) you will probably have to be in the right place at the right time and
also commit to sticking around awhile. Large hotels often hire travellers as do small, family run places. Live-in pub and
hotel jobs are pretty common around the world but make sure you're getting a fair wage for the hours that you're working.
